A landmark project for the valley

Setec opency is proud to announce the completion of its Scheduling, Planning and Coordination (OPC) mission for the renovation of Spa La Rotonde at Les Grands Bains du Monêtier. This operation represented a demanding human and technical challenge, carried out in a context of continuous operation within a landmark thermal facility.

Led by the Municipality of Le Monêtier-les-Bains, the project involved the full renovation of a 1,000 sqm premium spa facility. Following a design phase launched in autumn 2024, construction works were carried out from October 2024 to January 2026 over an 18-month period, involving the coordination of more than twenty contractors. The spa officially opened to the public on 7 February 2026, marking the completion of this strategic development for the region.

A project delivered in an occupied site, with no interruption to operations

A key challenge of the project was its execution in an occupied site, maintaining access to the existing pools throughout both winter and summer seasons.

This required:

  • precise phasing of works,

  • controlled management of visitor flows,

  • close coordination between all contractors,

  • continuous adaptation to operational constraints and the mountain environment.

Within this demanding framework, our intervention enabled the optimization of the schedule in line with site constraints and ensured overall operational consistency across all work packages.

An OPC mission supporting a complex thermal and heritage project

As OPC coordinator, setec opency was responsible for planning, operational steering and day-to-day coordination of all stakeholders. Our role was central in securing interface management, anticipating critical points and maintaining a high level of technical and organizational performance. Beyond the project itself, this new facility contributes to the tourism diversification strategy of the Serre Chevalier valley, strengthening the positioning of Les Grands Bains as a leading mountain wellness destination beyond the ski season.

A premium space dedicated to sensory relaxation

La Rotonde stands out through its circular architecture, the use of high-quality materials, abundant natural light and remarkable views over the Alpine peaks. The new facility includes: a panoramic sauna, hammam, natural 44°C waterfall fed by the Monêtier hot spring, immersive sensory pool with panoramic screen, sparkling water pool, outdoor jacuzzis, snow room and salt room.

This achievement highlights setec opency’s expertise in managing complex hotel, thermal and heritage projects in occupied environments. We support public and private clients, as well as design teams, on operations where coordination, anticipation and interface management are key drivers of collective success.
