OPERA GARNIER PARIS

The Project

The project forms part of the major renovation program of the Palais Garnier, led by the Opéra National de Paris (ONP), and more specifically concerns an OPC–Logistics mission at the scale of an exceptional heritage site.

Beyond a simple technical upgrade, this operation represents a strategic transformation for the ONP.
Its objective is to preserve the artistic excellence of the Palais Garnier, ensure the safety of occupants and regulatory compliance of the installations, while maintaining the continuity of operations at a landmark venue that welcomes several hundred thousand spectators and visitors each year.

The Mission

Within the framework of the agreement, setec opency, in partnership with SICA Logistique, delivers an integrated OPC – Logistics mission covering overall operational management, interface coordination, and flow management in an occupied heritage environment.

Our added value first lies in our proven expertise in managing complex projects, particularly heritage operations with significant technical constraints, such as the renovation of Notre-Dame de Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France Richelieu, and Musée Carnavalet.
This experience enables us to anticipate risks, structure interfaces and secure critical milestones.

The organization implemented combines transversal coordination—including overall OPC leadership, scheduling, logistics, document management and shared expenses—with operation-level management, providing the client with a consolidated, real-time view of project progress.

A Lean approach (geo-temporal planning, Last Planner System, visual management) strengthens coordination between stakeholders and enhances schedule reliability. The use of 4D BIM and dynamic reporting tools allows teams to anticipate co-activity conflicts, optimize phasing strategies and support informed decision-making.

Finally, integrating logistics directly into the OPC mission is a major performance lever: managing flows, pooling resources, reducing nuisances and securing the continuity of operations within the site.
