The Beluga XL aircraft unloading centre at Colomiers is of great strategic importance. It is to this building that components for Airbus aircraft, to be assembled at the Toulouse site’s assembly plants, are delivered from all over Europe. They arrive by air, in an aircraft specially designed for this purpose. As part of efforts to improve unloading rates for the Beluga ST operation and to accommodate the new Beluga XL, Airbus wishes to undertake the refurbishment and extension of the ILF (Integrated Line Facilities) and maintenance operations. The future ILF will consist of a building housing two unloading/loading bays, a conveyor area, a handling building, storage areas and a C40 building.
For this project, setec opency carried out the following tasks: project management consultancy (OPC) and project owner support.
Project cost : €20 million
Construction period : 2017–2019
