Extension d'Orly 4

Overhaul of the International Departures Process at Paris-Orly 4 Airport

The Project

The Aéroport de Paris Group is actively committed to improving the passenger experience. The ‘International Departures Process Redesign’ project at Paris-Orly Airport therefore involved providing passengers with more space whilst moving through the terminal, a new, more reliable and faster baggage sorting system, the reorganisation of boarding routes, and access to a 1,600 m² area of new retail outlets.
It comprises 27,000 m² of new buildings extending from Orly 4 towards the airside areas, with a new 2,700 m² boarding hall leading to four new aircraft gates, three airline lounges and a 6,400 m² baggage sorting area. The setec opency team was involved from the design phase right through to the handover of the project. Its role was deemed particularly crucial to the success of this complex project.
