As part of the Séléné consortium, alongside Egis and AIP – Antherovia Ingénierie et Pilotage , setec opency is contributing its expertise as SCMC général and SCMC works to the RATP on the Line 14 extension to Orly Airport.
It was against this backdrop that the entire Séléné team met last Friday to visit the site of the future Morangis SMR (Maintenance and Repairs Site) for the line’s metro trains in the Essonne commune of Morangis, on the edge of the airport platform.
Built by RATP to the south of Orly, the SMR Morangis will ensure quality of service, reliability and safety for both trains and the network. The 6-hectare site will house a maintenance workshop, a 19-position garage and a train washing area.
The site will benefit from technical solutions to enhance its environmental quality: photovoltaics, heat recovery, biomass and heat pump heating, ventilation (double flow, night-time), wastewater management, electric vehicle recharging, lighting and acoustic management.
