Reconfiguration of the Louvre Museum’s Reception Areas

Project

The Pyramide Project involves the reconfiguration of the Louvre Museum’s reception areas and enhancements to visitor mediation.

The restructuring includes:

  • Renovation of the east and west museum entrances (Belvédère and Richelieu) and the Napoleon Hall.
  • Creation of an information and baggage area, and reorganization and relocation of the ticket office, general cashier, and bookstore.
  • Renovation of cultural and commercial spaces in the Allée du Grand Louvre.

The mediation component aims to enrich the visitor experience through:

  • Improved signage.
  • Newly designed spaces with updated furniture.
  • Integration of multimedia equipment.

Mission
