Supporting setec as management through the implementation of a unifying lean approach :

setec as is a subsidiary of the setec group that encompasses cross-functional departments across all subsidiaries and oversees the Setec group’s Transition 2025 plan. The departments include Human Resources, Communication, International Development, Finance, Accounting, IT Services, Workplace Environment, Procurement, Innovation, Legal, and Quality, Safety, and Environment.

These departments conduct ongoing activities in collaboration with other subsidiaries, as well as specific projects that significantly impact the other subsidiaries.

setec ashas commissioned setec opency to help them build a 2024 roadmap common to all their departments, aiming to smooth out the impacts on the other subsidiaries. This is achievable through an overall vision of all actions and prioritization based on a risk analysis of the projects.

Mission

Framing and initiation of the mission:

  • Define setec as objectives: clearly outline the goals and expectations of setec as for the upcoming year.
  • Align on a roadmap: establish a shared vision and strategic plan that aligns all departments.
  • Gather requirements: conduct a series of interviews to collect the needs and expectations from various stakeholders.
  • Half-day lean management awareness session: organize a training session to familiarize the team with lean management principles.

Roadmap construction:

  • Design a sunburst matrix: develop a matrix to identify the projects impacting the subsidiaries and assess their workload implications.
  • Build an interface matrix: create a matrix to map the interactions between different departments.
  • Create a second sunburst matrix: focus on the internal projects specific to setec as.
  • Data analysis and risk assessment: analyze the collected data and associated risks to inform decision-making.
  • Strategic prioritization of projects: make informed decisions on the prioritization of projects based on the analysis.

Roadmap follow-up:

  • Monthly monitoring: track progress on the roadmap actions with monthly reviews and make decisions on any delayed actions.
