After years of construction work, Eole, the western extension of RER E Line of the Paris suburban train network, opens to the public on Monday May 6. Passengers will discover three impressive new stations, including La Défense.

Running parallel to the major axis of the esplanade de la Défense, the new facility is located under the CNIT, more than 30m below ground level in the heart of the famous business district. With its 15m-high, 108m-long and 33m-wide “cathedral” volume, the structure is ready to welcome over 80,000 passengers a day, interconnected with the RER A, L and J lines, as well as the L1 metro and T2 tramway. Congratulations to all those involved in this major infrastructure project, and in particular to the setec group, whose subsidiary setec tpi was in charge of the project management (in a consortium with Egis and Agence Dutilleul), as well as to the numerous subsidiaries that also participated in the project (setec bâtiment, setec organisation, setec Ferroviaire, terrasol (groupe setec), eocen – project management expertise).
