Compagnie Eiffage du Viaduc de Millau (CEVM)
2005
The Millau Viaduct holds the world record for multi-span cable-stayed bridges. Designed by the Eiffage Group, it features a unique construction method for such an extraordinary structure.
The viaduct was built to alleviate congestion on the A75 motorway.
With eight spans of 2 x 204 meters and 6 x 342 meters, it crosses the Tarn Valley. The structure is supported by seven reinforced concrete piers, ranging in height from 78 to 245 meters, and features a 32-meter-wide trapezoidal steel box girder and steel pylons for the cable-stayed system.
For its realization, setec opency provided the Eiffage Group with its expertise in schedule management and project management assistance.
