Located in Miramas, the Maille 1 and Mercure district is entering a new phase of transformation. Home to 2,700 residents — nearly 10% of the town’s population — this area is the focus of a large-scale urban renewal project as part of the New National Urban Renewal Program (NPNRU).
Already equipped with shops and services, this medium-sized district has many assets that make it ripe for sustainable urban revitalization. The goal is clear: to restore its residential and urban appeal and fully reintegrate it into the city by 2030.
This transformation goes far beyond simple renovations. It entails a comprehensive requalification of buildings, public facilities, and outdoor spaces, driven by four strategic priorities:
Enhance commercial activity and support a local, adapted economy
Open up the district with high-quality, ecological public spaces
Diversify the residential offering to promote social diversity
Upgrade public facilities to meet both local and territorial needs
Alongside the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, setec opency, in collaboration with setec organisation, is engaged in an OPCU/OPCIC mission, taking over from a first phase launched in 2019.
Our teams are fully committed to ensuring smooth, coordinated project delivery through:
Physical monitoring of all operations across different project owners
Coordination of all technical and operational interventions
Participation in steering committees
Ensuring continuity between project phases
This mission is part of a collaborative, structured, and ambitious approach, designed to support the long-term transformation of Maille 1 and Mercure by 2030. It ensures tight schedule control and seamless coordination among all stakeholders.
