Métro MF19

RATP MF19

The Project

setec opency has been selected to support one of the largest modernization programmes of the Paris metro network: the MF19 programme, led by Île-de-France Mobilités and RATP. This major project aims to adapt the infrastructure of eight historic metro lines (3, 3bis, 7, 7bis, 8, 10, 12 and 13) to enable the progressive deployment of the new MF19 rolling stock.

Covering nearly 250 km of lines, this large-scale industrial programme is being carried out within a metro network operating almost continuously, with major challenges related to reliability, passenger comfort, environmental performance and service continuity. It supports the replacement of iconic rolling stock (MF67, MF77 and MF88), which has reached the end of its lifecycle, with new trains that are more efficient, more energy-efficient and better aligned with passenger expectations.

This project represents a key milestone for the future of the Paris metropolitan subway network, which carries more than 4.4 billion passenger-kilometres every year at the heart of the world’s leading tourist destination.

The Mission

Within this particularly demanding context, setec opency is acting as OPC-O (Operational Project Coordination) to manage the programme’s complexity and secure its major milestones. Our teams are notably responsible for:

  • Structuring and leading a schedule management organisation adapted to a multi-line, multi-stakeholder programme
  • Providing visibility and reliability on actual progress, including in environments with high industrial uncertainty
  • Securing critical interfaces between infrastructure, systems, operations and maintenance
  • Developing operational arbitration scenarios to limit cascading impacts and maintain programme objectives
  • Producing clear and robust decision-support materials aligned with RATP governance requirements
