setec opency at the heart of the Paris Metro’s transformation!
setec opency is proud to be supporting one of the most significant programmes for the Île-de-France transport network: the MF19 programme, led by Île-de-France Mobilités and the RATP Group.
This major project aims to upgrade the infrastructure of eight historic lines of the Paris Metro – lines 3, 3bis, 7, 7bis, 8, 10, 12 and 13 – representing nearly 250 km of operational network – to enable the gradual roll-out of new trains that are more efficient, more comfortable and more energy-efficient. Carried out within a metro system operating almost continuously, it involves major challenges regarding service continuity, the reliability of facilities and coordination between numerous stakeholders.
In this particularly demanding context, setec opency acts as the OPC-O (Scheduling, Management and Coordination – Operations) to structure and ensure the overall management of the programme. Our teams support the establishment of an organisational structure suited to a multi-line programme, provide a reliable and shared view of progress despite industrial uncertainties, and secure the critical interfaces between infrastructure, systems, operations and maintenance. They also help to inform operational decisions in order to limit knock-on effects and produce robust decision-support materials, in line with the project’s governance framework.
Beyond technical modernisation, the MF19 programme represents a key milestone for the future of the Île-de-France metro, a network that handles nearly 1.5 billion journeys each year in the heart of the world’s leading tourist destination.
An iconic project that fully illustrates setec opency’s role: managing complexity, ensuring safe journeys and providing long-term support for the transformation of major transport infrastructure.
