Development of the Hoche area

The Project

The Hoche district is situated on the western edge of the A86 motorway. The development works comprise a programme to build 650 homes and 1,000 m² of retail and service premises, as well as the removal, relocation and creation of several streets. An embankment and a raised section are being constructed on the right-hand side of the A86, and a motorway ventilation structure is being refurbished. A pioneer in sustainable development, the Hoche eco-neighbourhood was awarded first prize in 2009 in the ‘Urban Planning, Heritage and Sustainable Development’ category of the annual Grand Prix de l’Environnement competition.
